Job Description & Summary

PwC’s Deals and Capital Raising (“D&CR) team within the Broader Assurance Services (“BAS”) business unit advises clients on complex accounting and financial reporting issues relating to IPOs, deals and other periods of transformation. Currently we are expanding our diverse team and are looking for experienced accounting professionals. 

What you will be doing

As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting, accounting, digital, deals, and/or capital markets experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Additional responsibilities include the following areas:

  • You will proactively execute technical accounting and/or capital markets work on projects, while coaching junior team members and reporting to the Senior Managers, Directors, Partners and other professionals;
  • You will need to demonstrate abilities in how to identify and address client needs. This includes building and maintaining client relationships, acting as the engagement manager in all matters of engagement economics and administration, and preparing/reviewing complex written and verbal materials;
  • Advising clients or audit teams on capital market transactions, including IPOs, SPAC mergers, carve-outs/spin-offs, business combinations, private placements, and debt offerings based on understandings of the capital markets and related listing / registration processes; and
  • Researching, analyzing, and communicating the impact of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements on complex deals and transactions such as leasing, consolidations, GAAP conversions, revenue recognition and/or business combinations.

Does this describe you?

You will participate as a team leader alongside senior D&CR professionals on complex accounting and financial reporting matters related to deals and other transformational events. You have at least six years of working experience in the following areas:

  • Advising multinational, publicly-traded companies and private equity firms on a broad range of technical accounting, financial reporting, and capital markets accounting topics including IPOs, SPAC mergers, carve-outs and/or spin-offs, business combinations and/or purchase price allocations, private placements, and debt offerings;
  • You have a strong interest in deals, capital markets and other transaction-based activities and should expect to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment with like-minded individuals;
  • Demonstrating extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader managing teams;
  • Applying IFRS, Dutch GAAP, US GAAP and related financial reporting concepts and rules including leasing; consolidations; IFRS conversions; fair value assessments; revenue recognition; and/or business combination regulations to solving client issues;
  • Dutch RA or foreign equivalent is considered an asset;
  • You are fluent in English (both written and spoken), knowledge of Dutch is an asset; and
  • Experience with shared service centers and capabilities in Alteryx, UIPath, and data visualization tools such as PowerBi is considered a plus but is not required.
