As restructurer you will work in the International Clients & Specialized team of Financial Restructuring & Recovery, more specifically you will be part of the Deal Execution Team. You will work independently with various (senior) colleagues and be part of dealteams, who together assess different scenarios and ultimately find the best solutions for the client and the bank. A combination of hard and soft skills is required. 

Working environment

As Restructurer you will work in the International Clients & Specialized team of Financial Restructuring & Recovery. FR&R IC&S consists of five teams:
1.Restructuring International: senior debt restructurers in the restructuring dealteams. These deals concern (international) financial restructurings of  large corporate clients. 
2.FR&R US: covering the restructuring and recovery clients in the Americas (based in NYC). 
3.Recovery International: guide the process to exit of international clients, both consensual as non-consensual, and provide a “plan B’ alternative” for restructurings. Includes Secondary Sales practice, whereby secondary markets are explored to sell distressed debt. 
4.Specialised Finance: team of (equity) specialists, focusing on alternative (debt to equity) instruments in restructurings in order to minimalize credit losses for ABN AMRO and to create value for all stakeholders involved and eventually also benefit from potential upside after implementation of a ‘debt to equity’ swap or distressed M&A. 
5.Deal Execution Team: see ‘your job’.

FR&R has a client base of appr. 2000 clients and 180 FTE, numbers are very much dependent on the economic cycle. The purpose of FR&R is to guide clients through rough times towards a sustainable future. IC&S focuses mainly on distressed clients from Corporate & Institutional Banking, Private Banking (International), (international) Asset Based Finance and Leveraged Finance. 

FR&R is located at the Foppingadreef in Amsterdam. ‘Het nieuwe werken’ is fully embraced within FR&R. Depending on your client portfolio, you might need to travel abroad.
