Introduction

Sustainability is fully integrated in the NN Group strategy and is included in our company’s five strategic priorities. The focus on long-term sustainable growth is key to fulfilling NN’s ambition: to be an industry leader, known for our customer engagement, talented people, and contribution to society. Integrating sustainability (including ESG) in our day-to-day business is an important aspect of making this ambition come to life.

New developments

The field of sustainable finance is developing in an accelerating pace, influenced by an increasing amount of complex, fast changing EU-regulations, changing risks and opportunities, evolving stakeholder expectations, and changing customer demands and preferences.

To make sure we address all requirements and adequately identify risks and opportunities for our businesses, we are launching a Task Force Sustainability in Business (TFSB) for, in principle, a period of two years.

Your impact as Project Management Officer (PMO) Task Force Sustainability in Business

As Project Management Officer you directly support the Head of the Task Force Sustainability in Business (TFSB) and our Programme Managers in multi-disciplinary change initiatives. You will take responsibility for central programme deliverables (for instance: milestone planning and tracking; decision-making documents for management; monitoring of key risks, issues and dependencies; insight in project financials and business cases), besides picking up your own (sub-)projects within these larger initiatives.

Your responsibilities

  • Guide project management processes, including the planning and implementing of project management strategies and project set up and close down tasks
  • Produce management information including impact analysis and documents that are ‘for decision’ and organise Steering Committees to support the governance of the Task Force
  • Work within a senior stakeholder environment and ensure timely execution and completion of deliverables
  • Liaise with project team members and provide suggestions or solutions to unforeseen issues when needed
  • Collect, summarise and monitor the overall budget and business case and create project plans and charters

Who you are

You get energised by a challenging and fast developing environment and are able to work effectively across the hierarch y, including senior management. You know how to establish and manage relations with a diverse group of stakeholders and are passionate about making a positive change through our business activities. You have a proactive attitude and highly developed planning, project management and interpersonal skills. You are able to perform under pressure and to manage different projects at the same time. You are a team player with a strong sense for individual accountability, accuracy and organisational sensitivity.

We prefer candidates with the following experience and skill sets:

  • Relevant University Degree; preferably a degree in Business & IT, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Informatics or similar
  • 3-5 years of working experience in supporting project execution and delivering PMO tasks, preferably at a consulting firm and/or in the insurance/investment industry or within the field of sustainability
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills and understanding of business strategy, needs, and complexities
  • High learning agility, meaning you can easily adapt and absorb new information in a changing environment
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Your colleagues

You will be part of small task force programme management office and part of a large sustainability transformation programme team, in a dynamic environment within a young team professionals with which you will work on a daily basis. You will work closely with the Corporate Citizenship team which defines the overall direction on sustainability and advises the Management Board and Business Units. This taskforce works closely with the different businesses (NL and International) and other Group functions to set the agenda, and steer and advise on the embedding of sustainability and ESG aspects in strategy, policies and business processes within NN.

Corporate Citizenship is part of the Corporate Relations (CR) department, located at the international head office in The Hague. CR is divided into specific specialist teams, based on the type of communications, or stakeholder group, for which each division is responsible.

Continue developing

It is important to us that you continue to develop yourself. We give you the space and the confidence to grow in your career as well as a person. We help you with:

  • Plenty of training and learning opportunities in our Learning & Development Centre
  • A large (international) network of colleagues who are keen to share their knowledge with you
  • The autonomy to set out your own development path
