As Project Management Officer you will directly support and work together with our Project- and Program Managers in multi-disciplinary change initiatives in areas such as Finance Transformations, Mergers & Acquisitions and Operational Efficiency.

Within the Finance Service Centre a team of Project & Change Managers is established to support our largest Finance (Transformation) initiatives across all of our Finance value streams. A dynamic environment within a young team of finance and change professionals with which you will work together to help our Finance function transform towards a more digital, data-driven and engaged Finance community that continuously strives to deliver their services better, faster and cheaper.

In your role as Project Management Officer you work together with our Finance departments by executing Finance (Transformation) initiatives.

This job offers you a salary between € 4.081 and € 5.831. This is based on a 40-hour work week, excluding a 13th month and holiday allowance.

Your impact as Project Management Officer (PMO) Finance Transformations at NN

As Project Management Officer you will directly support and work together with our Project- and Program Managers in multi-disciplinary change initiatives in areas such as Finance Transformations, Mergers & Acquisitions and Operational Efficiency. You will take the lead in ensuring effective and efficient change execution and will act as the trusted go-to person in terms of project management support and central project oversight.

You will also take an active role around our FSC’s Service Delivery towards our internal customers (the NN business units). You will support our Finance departments to provide and maintain full transparency on their service delivery in terms of formal agreements and performance.

Your responsibilities

You will take responsibility to support the end-to-end delivery of our change initiatives, from initiation (through quick scans/ assessments on core finance processes), to project delivery (milestone planning; status reporting; monitoring of key risks, issues and dependencies; insight in project financials and business cases), besides picking up your own (sub-)projects within these larger initiatives.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Act as a source of best practice guidance on project management processes
  • Produce management information including scenario analysis, impact analysis and documents that are ‘for decision’ and organize impactful Steering Committees
  • Work within a senior stakeholder environment and ensure timely execution and completion of deliverables
  • Liaise with project team members and provide suggestions or solutions to unforeseen issues when needed
  • Collect, summarize and monitor the overall budget and business case and create project plans and project charters
  • Develop and maintain the FSC Service Catalogue and the Intragroup Outsourcing Agreements (IOAs) that have been agreed upon
  • Develop and maintain a KPI framework and - reports so we can report to our customers on our overall performance

Who you are

We are looking for someone with a few years’ experience in supporting project execution and delivering PMO tasks, preferable at a consulting firm and/or in the insurance industry within the field of Finance. You also have a proactive attitude, you are a self-starter and you have analytical and problem solving skills.

Next to the above:

  • You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, are open minded and sensitive to your environment
  • You are convincing, a critical thinker and able to flex communication with the audience in mind
  • You have a high learning agility, meaning you can easily adapt and absorb new information in a changing environment
  • You are a strong communicator, fluent in both Dutch and English
  • Knowledge and experience with Finance SLAs, Service Catalogues and KPI performance management is preferred
  • You have a relevant University Degree; preferably a degree in Business & IT, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Informatics or similar

Due to Covid-19, NN colleagues are still working from home most of the time and we are preparing for a combination of working from home (or anywhere else) and at the office. The official location for this job is The Hague.
